A Winning LuckyShorts Story - The Lucky Shorts That Won Madrid 🎾🏆
Sometimes the best stories happen completely by accident.
During the 2026 Madrid Open, tennis player Marta Kostyuk won the biggest title of her career. But after her victory, it wasn’t just the trophy that caught everyone’s attention, it was her now famous “LuckyShorts”.
And yes… they were real LuckyShorts.
The story started with a LuckyShorts boxer originally owned by Dutch tennis player Demi Schuurs. During a tournament, the boxer accidentally ended up with Marta Kostyuk’s team through the tournament laundry service.
What started as a funny mix-up slowly became a real lucky charm.
Her coach kept the LuckyShorts boxer ever since, and for the Madrid Open she even brought it back specially. After an incredible tournament run, Marta lifted the trophy with the LuckyShorts boxer proudly featured in the winner’s photos.
Seeing a real LuckyShorts boxer become part of such an iconic tennis moment is something we never could have imagined, and we are incredibly proud that our brand became part of this story.
A laundry accident.
A lucky charm.
A WTA 1000 title.
That’s the magic of LuckyShorts. 💜
